Seasonal Market Assistant for the Royal Christmas Fair 🎄

Location: Lange Voorhout, The Hague
Dates: December 3–23, 2025
Availability: At least 10 days during the duration of the fair. Weekend availability is required (12-9pm, flexible date & hours are possible)

The festive season is around the corner and we’re thrilled to be returning to the magical Royal Christmas Fair in The Hague! As we prepare for one of the most memorable events of the year, we’re looking for enthusiastic and creative minded individuals to join our team as Seasonal Market Assistant.

About the Role

As a Market Assistant, you’ll be one of the friendly face of our brand; helping customers, sharing product knowledge and ensuring every visitor enjoys a warm, welcoming experience at our stand.

This role is perfect for someone who:

• Enjoys connecting and talking with people
• Has a great eye for detail
• Works well in a fast-paced, festive retail environment
• Loves being part of a small, community-focused team
• Is available on weekends
  
  

  Requirements

  To be considered for this position, you should:
  
• Be available at least 10 days during the duration of the fair 
• Living in The Hague
• Be available during weekends
• Be able to speak basic Dutch
• Have experience working in a retail environment
• Be crafty: comfortable attaching charms to bracelets or necklaces
• Be able to work independently when needed
• Enjoy helping people with jewelry styling or advising them on gift choices
  

Trial Shifts

Trial shifts will take place Tuesdays through Saturdays (any day) at our store leading up to the event. This gives us the chance to get to know you and for you to get a feel for the role.

Always Summer is a newly opened concept store in The Hague, and we’re looking for friendly, creative, and reliable people to join our small team. One role focuses on supporting our store and market activities, while the other offers the chance to host beginner-friendly jewelry workshops in our cozy space.

Position 1: Store & Market Assistant

(Weekends only, 7h–12h: more weekday shifts on December)

A dynamic, hands-on role perfect for someone who enjoys variety. You’ll help in the shop, assist with local markets, and contribute to how our brand is presented.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist customers in-store with care and attention
• Maintain store presentation, stock levels and organization
• Manage craft markets (mostly weekends), including setup, sales, customer assistance and pack-up
• Visit retail stores that carry our products to restock and organize displays
• Occasionally assist with simple content creation
• Take photos for our social media and help manage our online presence
• Potentially assist with promotions and business development

What We’re Looking For:

• Reliable, well-organized and able to take initiative
• Comfortable working independently, with the ability to recognize what needs to be done and when, and to manage tasks without constant direction
• Able to keep an overview of daily responsibilities and adapt as needed
  
• Fluent in English (basic Dutch is helpful but not required)
  
• Based in or near The Hague
  
• A valid driver’s license is a plus, particularly for market days
  
• Flexible availability, especially during the spring, summer months & holiday season
  

Position 2: Jewelry Workshop Host

(Weekends or Evenings- Freelance or Part-time: Weekly or Bi-Monthly)

We are seeking a creative and engaging individual to lead beginner-friendly jewelry workshops in our store. You’ll guide small groups through simple, enjoyable projects. All materials, tools and promotion are provided by us.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with our team to plan workshop content and scheduling, including support with promotional materials and posters
• Lead and facilitate jewelry workshops for small groups (typically 6–10 participants)
• Handle all setup and cleanup before and after each session to ensure a smooth experience
• Provide clear, encouraging instruction so participants feel confident, enjoy the process, and leave with a finished piece

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in jewelry making (build your own charm bracelet/necklace, beading, wire, clay, or similar)
• Friendly, professional presence with strong communication skills
  
• Comfortable teaching in English (Dutch is an advantage)
  
• Based in or near The Hague
  
• Prior experience hosting or teaching workshops is appreciated but not required
