Always Summer is expanding and we are currently hiring for two distinct roles at our concept store in The Hague. One role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety. From working in our store and running craft markets to assisting with organizational tasks and creating simple social media content. The other is perfect for a creative individual who loves making jewelry and would enjoy hosting hands-on workshops in our cozy space.
We’re looking for people who are communicative, trustworthy, and reliable, whether you have a retail background with an eye for detail or you're confident leading a small group in a creative setting. If you're excited to be part of a small, mission-driven team, either role could be a great fit.
Position 1: Store & Market Assistant (8–16 hours per week)
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a dynamic, hands-on role. You'll support daily operations in the shop, assist with local markets and contribute to the presentation and visibility of our brand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist customers in-store with care and attention
- Maintain store presentation, stock levels and organization
- Manage craft markets (mostly weekends), including setup, sales, customer assistance and pack-up
- Visit retail stores that carry our products to restock and organize displays
- Occasionally assist with simple content creation
- Take photos for our social media and help manage our online presence
- Potentially assist with promotions and business development
What We’re Looking For:
- Reliable, well-organized and able to take initiative
- Comfortable working independently, with the ability to recognize what needs to be done and when, and to manage tasks without constant directio

Able to keep an overview of daily responsibilities and adapt as needed

Fluent in English (basic Dutch is helpful but not required)

Based in or near The Hague

A valid driver’s license is a plus, particularly for market days

Position 2: Jewelry Workshop Host (Freelance or Part-Time, Weekly or Bi-Monthly)
We are seeking a creative and engaging individual to lead beginner-friendly jewelry workshops in our store. You’ll guide small groups through simple, enjoyable projects. All materials, tools and promotion are provided by us.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with our team to plan workshop content and scheduling, including support with promotional materials and posters
- Lead and facilitate jewelry workshops for small groups (typically 6–8 participants)
- Handle all setup and cleanup before and after each session to ensure a smooth experience
- Provide clear, encouraging instruction so participants feel confident, enjoy the process, and leave with a finished piece
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in jewelry making (build your own charm bracelet/necklace, beading, wire, clay, or similar)

Friendly, professional presence with strong communication skills

Comfortable teaching in English (Dutch is an advantage)

Prior experience hosting or teaching workshops is appreciated but not required
