Always Summer is a newly opened concept store in June of 2025 in The Hague and we’re looking for friendly, creative and reliable people to join our small team. One role focuses on supporting our store and market activities, while the other offers the chance to host jewelry workshops in our cozy space.

Position 1: All-round Sales & Craft Associate: Market & In-store

( A weekday and 1 day in a weekend: 7h–12h or more)

We are looking for a Sales & Craft Associate - someone who enjoys working with people just as much as creating with their hands.

In this role, you’ll welcome customers into the store, help them find pieces that feel personal and maintain a calm, beautiful and well-cared-for space.

Alongside the retail experience, you’ll play an active role in our creative side such as but not limited to: assembling simple jewelry/bag charms, knitting/crocheting and helping bring small, thoughtful experiences to life. You’ll also take ownership of our charm bar, ensuring it is always well-stocked, organized and inspiring.

From time to time, you may host simple in-store creative moments, guiding customers through hands-on activities in an easy and welcoming way.

Key Responsibilities

• You will be be the go-to person for crafting in-store, with experience in making simple jewelry (e.g. necklaces, bracelets, charm pieces) Experience is required.
• Take ownership of the charm bar: keeping it stocked, organized and visually appealing and improving the experience
• Create a warm and welcoming environment for customers
• Maintain a calm, clean and well-presented store
• Support overall store flow and daily operations
• Represent Always Summer at markets on weekends when needed

Tasks

• Assist customers in finding pieces they love, suggest the possibilities they can create with our charm bar.
• Assemble simple jewelry (necklace, earrings, bag charms etc)
• Restock and organize the charm bar and materials
• Help with small creative activities (e.g. beading, painting jewelry boxes)
• Support stock management and merchandising
• Set up and run market stalls (occasionally)
• Sometimes capture small in-store moments for social media
• Occasionally help restock partner locations (bi-monthly)

What We’re Looking For

• Warm, friendly and people-oriented
• Hands-on and creative, with basic jewelry-making skills (required)
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Proactive and able to work independently
• Comfortable switching between customers and tasks
• Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus)
• Based in or near The Hague
• Driver’s license is a plus (for market days)
• Flexible availability, especially in busy seasons

Position 2: Jewelry Workshop Host

(Weekends or Evenings- Freelance or Part-time: Weekly or Bi-Monthly)

We are seeking a creative and engaging individual to lead beginner-friendly jewelry workshops in our store. You’ll guide small groups through simple, enjoyable projects. All materials, tools and promotion are provided by us.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with our team to plan workshop content and scheduling, including support with promotional materials and posters
• Lead and facilitate jewelry workshops for small groups (typically 6–10 participants)
• Handle all setup and cleanup before and after each session to ensure a smooth experience
• Provide clear, encouraging instruction so participants feel confident, enjoy the process, and leave with a finished piece

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in jewelry making is required (silver clay, gold/silversmithing, beading, wire, clay, or similar)
• Friendly, professional presence with strong communication skills
  
• Comfortable teaching in English (Dutch is an advantage)
  
• Based in or near The Hague
  
• Prior experience hosting or teaching workshops is appreciated but not required
